The Western Australia resource sector produces over 50 different commodities, accounting for almost 1/3 of the $2.48bn WA GDP. Tianqi Lithium is currently constructing a new lithium processing plant for it's existing Greenbushes mine, which is the largest lithium mine in the world. When completed, the Kwinana plant will produce up to 40,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide per year. More than half of the world's lithium is being produced in WA, and by 2025 it is predicted that lithium will bring in more money for Australia than iron ore. In addition, WA has the world's largest diamond mine located in Kununurra, producing up to 20M. carats each year.

METRONET
With $3.6bn allocated towards the METRONET project in 2018-19, it's the largest rail infrastructure investment in WA history. It aims to connect Perth's suburbs, reduce highway congestion and meet Perth's future planning needs. Stage One will deliver up to 18 new train stations and approximately 72km of new rail. |
Optus Stadium

Elizabeth Quay
Completed in 2016, this serves as a mixed-use development project in Perth’s CBD, connecting with the Swan River to create a new dynamic entertainment and leisure precinct, located around a stunning 2.7ha inlet. Over time it will deliver international accommodation to over 10,000 residents. |
Crown Casino Perth
An expansion of the Crown Casino in December 2016 saw the launch of the Crown Towers luxury hotel, new restaurants and associated facilities. Located within 5kms of Perth's CBC, it is one of the cities' nightlife hotspots. |
